The Job at a Glance
The Business Analytics Manager is responsible for leading critical insights and data-driven recommendations that drive business decisions, enhance customer experiences, and optimize performance across our consumer eCommerce platforms (partselect.com, fix.com, easyapplianceparts.com, ereplacementparts.com, and genuinereplacementparts.com). Will be instrumental in defining the analytics roadmap and driving visibility to KPIs across the organization. Works closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Technology, Operations, and Finance to build ad hoc analysis and identify growth opportunities and improve our overall business performance. Will oversee pricing recommendations and decisions, as well as insight driven recommendations related to site optimization and merchandising. Will be a key contributor to the development of strategic business cases across the team.
A Typical Day
Dashboarding & Reporting
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and models to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the business
- Produce actionable reports and insights, provide recommendations on areas of improvement, and determine root cause(s) of business problems
Insights & Analysis
- Support strategic initiatives by providing data-driven insights, scenario modeling, and risk analysis
- Analyze customer data, sales trends, and website performance to support decision-making and identify opportunities for growth and optimization
- Assist in the development of business cases for new initiatives, including financial modeling and ROI analysis
- Identify and recommend optimization strategies for key business processes, including pricing, personalization, and customer service
Define Analytics Roadmap
- Collaborate with leadership to define the analytics roadmap
- Advocate the use of BI software and demonstrate to non-technical audiences
- Manage a database developer to create queries for ad hoc analysis and BI integration
To Land This Opportunity
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in business analytics, preferably in an eCommerce or D2C environment, consulting or finance
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Google Analytics).
- Experience managing BI software(s) and developing and implementing reports and dashboards
- Familiarity with financial modeling and business case development
- Experience with advanced analytics techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, machine learning).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of customer behavior, digital marketing, and eCommerce metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
